How To Meal Plan

Meal Planning is something that I want to get into to save money and not waste food. We’re in a cost of living crisis. Figuring out what to eat on the daily is pretty hard and even to have three meals is pretty hard. Our schedules can get pretty hectic from working, social life and a lot more. This is How To Meal Plan as a singular person or as a family.

What is Meal Planning?

The process of organizing and planning out meals for a certain period of time. This can include creating a menu, making a grocery list, and preparing or cooking meals in advance. It is used as a way to save time and money, as well as to ensure that healthy and balanced meals are being consumed.

Meal Planning Tips

  1. Start by creating a menu for the week or month.
This will give you an idea of what ingredients you need to buy and how much you need to make.
  2. Make a grocery list based on your menu.
You need to be sure to check your kitchen before you go to the store, so you don’t buy things you already have.
  3. Plan for leftovers.
Make extra portions of meals that can be easily reheated for a quick and easy lunch or dinner.
  4. Consider the time you have available to cook.
If you’re short on time, choose simple recipes that can be made quickly or make double batches of meals that can be frozen for future use.
  5. Incorporate variety in your meals.
Try to include different types of protein, fruits, and vegetables to ensure a balanced diet.
  6. Make use of your freezer and crockpot.
These appliances can be great tools for meal planning, allowing you to cook and store meals in advance.
  7. Be open to trying new recipes and ingredients.
Experimenting with new flavors and foods can make meal planning more enjoyable.
